This Texas-Sized nightmare started for the Saxon family with a distinct smell.
Just faint at first — something musty. Like old laundry or damp towels.
They noticed it most in the mornings, when the air was still, and only in one part of the house:
near the upstairs storage closet.
Still, they cleaned everything. Rewashed all the clothes. Even had the carpet shampooed.
But it never went away...

Then came the unexplained headaches, watery eyes, congested noses and overall fatigue
First for Victoria, then her husband, then even their 6-year-old started complaining. It was like we were all getting sick at home — and only at home.
Still, they didn’t see any mold!
No black spots. No water stains. Nothing. The family felt completely helpless, confused and frustrated.
That’s when they decided to call someone — just to check, and it would be the best decision for their health and their home.
The technician brought a moisture meter, took some air samples, and within 30 minutes, he found it.
A slow leak in the ceiling, right above the closet, caused by poorly installed flashing on the roof.
Water had been seeping into the drywall for months. Slowly building dampness behind the dry wall, but not noticeable enough visually to raise a visible concern.
And behind that wall?
Black mold
They were genuinely shocked. The family had been living with toxic mold — and had no idea...
Sound familiar?

Mold doesn’t always show up as black spots or obvious damage. In fact, most homeowners don’t realize they have a problem until they start feeling ill.

✅ Recent fatigue, headaches or allergies
✅ Visible spots near windows or walls
✅ Wallpaper pulling away from walls
✅ Damp walls or baseboards
✅ Recently built or remodeled home
✅ Recent appliance or plumbing repair
If any of these sound familiar — your home may be at risk for mold, which can be toxic! And the longer mold is left untreated, the worse (and more expensive) it becomes.
Don't wait any longer - mold could be lurking behind your walls. Now is the time to do something about it so that you don't find yourself in a similar position.
